How to get to the departure:

get off the motorway at Lavagna and continue in the direction of Carasco . When you get to Carasco go on towards provincial road 586 of the Val Aveto and, at Mezzanego, follow the indications for the Passo del Bocco (provincial road 26 BIS) and the road signs in the park

Difficulty:

seeing that the road is fairly flat and that the distance is quite reasonable it can be used without particular difficulty

Strutture e/o WC accessibili:

at about 300 metres from the Botanical Gardens, just in the Passo del Bocco you will find the park refuge “A. Devoto”; where hygienic services for the disabled are available. Another walk which is also suitable even for people with motory difficulties can be found a little further on past the Passo del Bocco. This is the nature path of the Laghetto del Bocco , created by the Park and situated along the provincial road which leads to Varese Ligure



Note:

the walk coincides with the visitor's path in a botanical garden uniting the possibility of a pleasant stroll in the open air with the opportunity of learning and understanding about the flora and spontaneous vegetation of the Park

Description:

the entrance of the Botanical Garden is situated in front of the car park. The garden is made up of a reconstruction of little plant beds covered with the different kinds of woodland plants peculiar to our inland countryside. A visit to the garden gives the opportunity of not only getting to know the botanical features but also the typical habitats of the Ligurian Apennines and furthermore to discover some of the phytogeographicand ecological aspects of the park, accentuating the relationship between the species and the plant community and the different factors of the environment conditions. This naturalistic experience revealed in all its simplicity is not at all pedantic and on all accounts represents, for whoever visits the park or happens to be staying at the nearby park refufe “Antonio Devoto” a pleasant opportunity to enjoy a peaceful stroll amongst the greener
